I think Fuente's failure at VT highlights what a crap shoot coaching hires have become.

Even experienced coaching staffs don't work out sometimes.  It's just part of it, I guess.

Individual stellar coaches matter just like individual stellar players do.  I don't think it's simply a matter of inserting a coach into a system and assuming they will automatically be successful.

Dabo and Saban have the people skills to succeed that others, quite honestly, don't.  The same goes for Dawn and Gino.

It also matters fit with the team / school and coach. Belllicheck was fired by the Browns - the browns... prior to landing in NE.

Not unless they go to a nine game schedule. We don't play any teams from the west on a regular basis. besides A&M.

I don’t see Beamer going anywhere.  Hopefully the fan base and school has the patience to go on this ride.  Beamer has said many times this is his dream job.  He has goals and knows what he wants to do, their will be a few bumps in the road but I do believe he will get it done.  Hopefully the fan base has a little patience, I am currently more concerned by the fans than Beamer.  Most fans predicted 4 wins at most this season.  We are currently at 5 with a chance for 6 and fans act like we have only won 2.

I  called 6 wins this year back in the Spring, we're close  should already be there just had some bad play from an bad team and some ugly coaching.

I could care less about the sky is falling fans.  Some people are just professional gripers.  Once the team is full of Beamer recruits I think everyone will be pleased with the results.  Maybe a staff change or two will happen by then but I'm not ready to give up on them either yet.
