USC had several visitors over the weekend including current commit 4 star LB Sherrod Pittman 6'1" 215lbs of Jacksonville, FL. Pittman said his commitment is still strong but he still plans to visit other schools. Pittman is unsure of those trips but said that Southern Cal, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Central Florida and Georgia have shown interest.
“The weekend went great,” Pittman said of his junior day visit. “My family and I got to talk to all of the coaches. We talked to Steve Spurrier Jr., Coach (Kirk) Botkin, Coach Ward…all of them and they made us feel like it was home there. We really had a good time.”
Pittman also attended the practice and was surprised at what he saw. “The defense really goes after the offense and the offense goes after the defense,” he said. “It was really intense. Those guys are trying to make each other better and that’s why they’re going to win an SEC Championship.”
Pittman is solid in his commitment and has been committed to USC since last July.
