Is Shane Beamer And South Carolina's Football Schedule Really As Tough As It Looks?!

Locked On Gamecocks
On today's show, Andrew talks about South Carolina's Football schedule being dubbed the toughest in college football this next season by national pundit Phil Steele, and explains how people's interpretation of the schedule could delude the actual schedule dynamics surrounding multiple contests. He then discusses the latest updates on Blake Franks recruitment, and goes in-depth on why Shane Beamer and South Carolina's Football program might not just land Franks, but simultaneously also be surpassing Dabo Swinney and Clemson's Football program in terms of their culture. Lastly, Andrew gives his projections for who will start in the infield for Mark Kingston and the South Carolina Gamecocks' baseball team this Spring! Do you think the idea of South Carolina's Football schedule being the toughest in 2023 could create some bad pre-assumed notions with their season performance? South Carolina's Football Schedule Could Be Unfairly Judged & Discount Overall Scheduling Dynamics!

Just being in the SEC makes our schedule one of the toughest in the country. Back in 91 when we left being an independent to be in the SEC, it was not like it is today. Today, it is almost a guarantee that a SEC team will be in the championship game. Next year's schedule with the PODs or whatever they decide, could get even tougher.
Thankfully, the way Beamer has things going, South Carolina is about to be one of the toughest teams for anyone to have on their schedule. I sure do look forward to getting back to 10+ win seasons.
I enjoyed being a fan through 0-21 and the 3 11 win seasons. I think we are on the road to being that good again even against the schedule we got.

You don't see SEC head coaches leaving for the NFL as often as they used to.

So they're staying in the league instead and it's harder than before to compete with the top dogs because they're established and never change.
