6-5 Tevin Mack of Dreher is just a day removed from his final official visit so he’s not close to making his decision. But he said Monday night there’s a good chance he’ll have one before the end of the week. And if not this week, definitely next week.
“I haven’t made my decision, I’m still thinking about it,” Mack said. “I’ve got to sit down and talk about it with my mom, brother and coaches.”
Mack visited Clemson, USC, Georgia, VCU and Connecticut with the Gamecocks getting the final crack at him over the weekend.
“I thought I would already know everything but they showed me some new things,” Mack said. “They showed me a good time. The coaches are real honest guys. I was able to check out practice Friday. They go hard, real intense, and they push their guys. That’s real important. I think they are going to have a pretty good team.”
Mack said as of Monday night all five schools are still in it and he’s heard from all five head coaches since his visit to USC.
“I need a couple of more days to think it out and see the positives and where I have the best chance of being successful,” Mack said. “I couldn’t make a decision today if I had to. I wouldn’t have the clarity in my mind.”
Mack added that if he hasn’t made a decision by Sunday, he will attend USC’s exhibition game against Benedict.
