MBB NET ranking is 77 to begin the week

So your saying there is a chance, GO COCKS!  :basketball-7small1:   This team has the pieces to make a run, Martin has been really good lately at playing the hot hand and exploiting matchups. We owe miss st an a$$ cutting, we missed McCreary in that game and if Frink plays aggressive in that game and Kotsar continues on his tear it is a matter of time before Lawson starts lights it up with Bryant, with bama we need Hannibal and Bolden to give us a some productive minutes with the majority of bama production coming from their guards. Hope Vandy is a tune up for a run in the SEC tourney, we have been to the tourney title game twice and we are due to go back and win one, this is the year! 



 
NET is 61 today.  I wonder how much just playing Vandy, win or lose, will cause it to go up.

Gonna depend on a few factors... how the others around us play.  LSU and Auburn lost tonight, which helps, as we’ll have a winning streak, and everyone else will at best have 1 game win streak.  Conceivably we can end up as high as 56.  That still has us on the outside looking in, unfortunately.

in my mind, only going at least two STRONG wins in the SECT gets us in close consideration.  Winning it out gets us in, but nothing else makes it a given, unfortunately.

 
Cant lose to Vandy. Their record is bad. I know its at Vandy but still....

Then I think we will have to win at least one and not get blown out in the second game. Hard to predict our seed in the SEC tourney with what transpired last night. I think all we know is UK is #1 and Vandy is #14. 

We could end up from #2 - #9 right?

considering the way we've been treated by the selection committee in the past I think we're *really* gonna have to shake things up in the tournament to be considered...we won't get in if there are a few other teams with 'equal' resumes to us at the very edge of the bubble...it'll just become all about Stetson.  It's doable for us but it'll take some magic I think.

Exactly because of our perception by the selection committee, I think we will have to win our SEC Tourney.  I think even a strong runner-up position, will leave us looking at the NIT.
