MBB roster gaps to fill next season

Never before nor nothing close after prove it. It was great, but it was an obvious fluke season. Sure, he wins with talent, which is what a coach is responsible for recruiting and developing. He didn’t and lost all momentum which was very unfortunate because I liked him and wanted him to be here a long time. Not beating up on Frank, it was just too much to ask for him to make USC a consistent tourney team. Just as it has been for every other coach, Lamont included. I didn’t want Frank fired tho. Just have to accept who USC is and not impose such lofty expectations on the coach. We can only hope for the occasional fluke runs and enjoy them when they happen.

I'm sorry but if you believe what you posted than it was not a fluke and as a fan you know we were left out the tourney with 20 wins the season before the Final Four run, you think that might have anything to do with the perception? PJ leaving left a void and then COVID but Coach Martin was ready to turn things and make a run with GG Jackson and the rest is history... I hope people don't tell you everytime you do anything good in your life it is a fluke, with fans like you who needs enemies! I'm sure recruits would love you and I'm sure the coaches and players love fans like you I mean your positive attitude and all... When Dawn Staley arrived the woman had not been to the tourney in 8 years...

My apologies if I triggered your sensitivities and I’m not a negative person, actually very much the opposite, just a realist about the potential of being relative on a consistent basis in MBB. Being delusional certainly helps when It comes to the men’s basketball program to think we’re always on the verge of breaking through. None of this has anything to do with me personally or my life so I won’t go down that road with you here and I’m broken up to hear you think I’m your enemy. Sure, Dawn built a juggernaut with time and patience but women’s basketball is a different thing. She has it rolling similar to what Tanner did in baseball and it took them time. I’d argue that breaking into elite status in men’s basketball is monumentally tougher than either of those and I mean no disrespect to either sport/coach but USC nor any other program will allow that level of time these days for a program to build. Which is why I didn’t think Frank should have been let go.
