*** MBB South Carolina (17-12, 9-7) vs. Mississippi State (19-10, 10-6) Game Thread ***

completely choked away a big lead and frank is mostly to blame for playing tj moss around 6 straight minutes where unsurprisingly the offense goes in the toilet and the defense falls apart.  leveque has to finish that last put back opportunity then he makes an awful entry pass to kotsar which leads to a fast break 2.  should our offense have him of all ppl making that entry pass, certainly not.

Here’s my assessment... we don’t need to have Moss or Leveque playing tonight.  Ride Bolden ALL THE WAY to the end of the game.  Frink needs to play more, rotating with McCreary.  Best lineup tonight is Kotsar, Frink, Bryant, Bolden and Cousinard.  Rotate Bolden and Lawson for offense and rest.  Rotate Bryant and Frink for defensive rebounding and rest.

USC is going to foul themselves right into another loss.   They can't guard St. one one one, except for Kotsar.   They get beat time after time on back door plays .  And they foul like they only have a short time to foul out so they better foul as much and as soon as they can.

By the way, Frank's defensive philosophy sucks shit.   The reason they get beat off the dribble, and get back doored is because they over play on the perimeter.   And to recover, they have to foul..    Why not just stay between your man and the basket and make the opponent beat you with jump shots????????????????????????????

if both hannibal and couisnard foul out and youre somehow forced to go to moss then thats the hand youre dealt.  but dont blow a big lead because youre scared of the game ending 3rd 1st half foul and absolutely do not make a similar mistake in the 2nd half.  if youre going to play moss extended minutes youre throwing the game.

I’ve gotta differ with you, friend.  The defensive issues we had were in large part during the 5 minutes Moss was in the game.  He was responsible for many of those backdoor cuts because he overplayed the perimeter and isn’t fast enough to make up for it once he’s beat.

The fouls we’re committing are mostly due to rebounding misses.  We’re playing too close to the basket, and getting pushed too far under.  Miss. State is taking advantage of the physical play now, and using that against us, whereas at the beginning of the game, we were not pushing... just out rebounding and forcing bad shots.

Let me say this... I’m NOT anti- TJ Moss.  He just had a rough game and Frank left him in.  Poor coaching substitution.

I agree that Moss sucks.   But he's overplaying his man because that's what frank teaches.
