Gamecock Athletics has announced "The Office Night" for the upcoming Carolina men's basketball game against Tennessee (Feb. 15/6 p.m. ET/SEC Network). The theme is based off the hit NBC mockumentary sitcom television series that depicts the everyday lives of office employees in the Scranton, PA branch of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. The February 15 game vs. Tennessee will feature nods to the popular show including:

 • A free piece of paper for every fan in attendance
 • Free "Bears, Beets, Gamecock Basketball" shirt for the first 500 students
 • Regular and cinnamon sugar pretzels available at the concession stands paying homage to Stanley's favorite day, pretzel day
 • Photo opportunity with replica Michael Scott desk on the concourse
 • In-game contests, including the office Olympic favorite, Flonkerton
 • Special surprises you'll have to come and see

It's not every night you have a chance to beat the Vols and get a free piece of paper.  #GamecocksMBBAllIn

LOL

Might have to wear my Dwight Schrute shirt tomorrow (said as I'm currently wearing a Dunder Mifflin, Inc shirt) lol

Excited about this game!   Every game is its own challenge.   We are a much better team than when we played UT in Knoxville.   UT is probably better too, but I think we have an advantage.    I hope we start the game well.   I prefer to play from a lead and that requires starting well.

Yeah, we don't play well if we start bad.  No early scoring seems to affect our effort on defense.   Of course the converse may be true as well...lack of early effort on defense affects our scoring.

And Eff TN.

Gamecocks lead Tennessee  30-29  at the halftime break. Considering how poorly the Gamecocks played in the 1st half, that's pretty fortunate. Lawson and Bryant have combined for 0 points. We're 8-16 from the free throw line, and 0-6 from behind the 3-pt arc, while the Vols are 2-9 and 9-15. So they have out-scored us in those areas 15-8. Hopefully we come out with a better offensive effort for the 2nd half, but this game is so for the taking. We need to take this game!!!!!

leveque did a good job of being disciplined though he did bite on a pump fake on the prior defensive possession and it led to a turnover by fulkerson.  last play of the half yes he stayed in front of him but i want him to aggressively go after the block rather than just raise his hands.  good steal earlier by him by staying in good position when it looked like they were trying to run a screen and alley oop against him.  mccreary's activity has been huge.

did the refs go back and give tennessee a 2 for the shot where bowden was initially given a 3?  looked like a foot was on the line.

Yes, at one point when the 1st half ended they had the score tied 30-30, then took away a point from Tennessee.

Lawson is just totally out of it for this game, is not able to contribute at all. The Vols have reclaimed the lead  44-42  with just over 11 minutes left to play....

And then we tie it back up again out of the time out.  44-44 .....

bryant probably leads the league in tripping over his own feet and falling to the ground which leads to an easy bucket and sparks a run which takes it from a tie game to 7pt deficit.

The radio guys are saying that McCreary hasn't been seen on the Gamecock bench, after leading the team in scoring in the 1st half. Don't know what is up with that, but being without Minaya, Lawson, and Bryant for the game, and then not having McCreary for a half of the game, is just way too much....

And Coach Martin is pouting on the bench again.....

we blew a golden opportunity to tie it but frank made an awful decision not to take nelson out after we cut it to 2.  hes a liability on both ends of the floor and we somehow got away with it with the zone and made a run to cut it to 2, dont tempt fate at that point get frink back in there.  huge mistake.
