MLB Passes 3 batter rule for pitchers ....

That will definitely change the way some pitching coaches like to work. You see them bring in one pitcher for the lefty, then another for that next righty etc. Not any more. You better hope your reliever can handle either because you know they will start sending in more pinch hitters.

Absolutely asinine!  I am tired of them trying to speed up the game.  The game is fine as it has been.  The only people that need it to speed up is those too stupid to understand what's going on.

Does this mean there will be more spots on rosters for pitchers or less?

thank you guys
These changes make it so the maximum number of pitchers is half the active roster. The changes create more roster spots overall, but it will affect teams differently. A lot of teams used a 13 pitcher, 12 position player roster, which will mean those teams have an extra roster space for a position player. Some NL teams carried 14 pitchers last year, which would mean they have to subtract a pitcher from the roster and now have 2 open position player spots (at least until September). Once September comes, the rosters expand from 26 to 28, giving teams 1 more pitcher and 1 more position player.
