More Gamecock offers go out
June 03, 2016
- South Carolina offered 2018 offensive lineman Warren Ericson of Duluth, Georgia on Thursday.
Ericson holds offers from Florida, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt and West Virginia, among others.
- 3-star 2017 linebacker Colin Anderson of Killen, Alabama received his 31st offer from the Gamecocks on Thursday.

Cal, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt and Tennessee highlight Anderson's offers to this point.
- South Carolina extended an offer on Thursday to 2018 safety Randy Russell of Opa Locka, Florida, which is his first SEC offer to date.

Russell represents yet another south Florida defensive back offered by the Gamecocks staff since they began their time in Columbia. It really seems like Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson are determined to mine that talent-rich area of the country and utilize Robinson's strong connections there to pull in as many guys as possible. This sort of philosophy is bound to pay off for the Gamecocks. Florida produces numerous fast, high-quality players, including many who fly under the radar, so putting out a bunch of offers to that area is a smart and resourceful move on behalf of the South Carolina staff.
- 2017 wide receiver Jeremy Singleton of New Orleans, Louisiana received an offer from South Carolina on Thursday.

Singleton currently has schools like Northwestern, Houston, Vanderbilt and Arkansas at the top of his list, but has said that as he receives more offers he will likely add more teams to the top and begin to cut things down from there. That being said, the Gamecocks stand a good chance of staying in this one for a while should they make Singleton a priority. Players from Louisiana are very often undervalued, so throwing an offer out that way is, again, resourceful, on the part of the South Carolina staff.
- 4-star 2017 cornerback Kary Vincent Jr. of Port Arthur, Texas received an offer from the Gamecocks on Wednesday.
Vincent has multiple offers from big time programs such as Texas, LSU, TCU, Oklahoma and others, and is one of the top-ranked cornerback recruits in the nation for the class of 2017. The Gamecocks will need to quickly make up some ground with this Longhorn state recruit in order to truly get into the game with him and have staying power.
- The Gamecocks extended an offer on Wednesday to 2017 safety Troy Young of Mobile, Alabama. The offer was Young's 12th and his second SEC offer so far, along with an offer from Mississippi State.

Young is currently being evaluated by programs like Florida State and Georgia. At 6'1, 190 pounds, Young has good size for the safety position and runs a 4.5 40-yard dash. South Carolina should have staying power with him going forward.
Palmer to camp with South Carolina in July
2018 4-star athlete Taiyon Palmer of Lawrenceville, Georgia tweeted out multiple schools that he would be camping with this summer on Wednesday night and South Carolina was on the list for the middle of July.
Palmer is a versatile player and is rated as one of the better all-around athletes in the 2018 class. He has already taken an unofficial visit to Columbia back in November, so letting him get more exposure to the program are steps in the right direction for the Gamecocks. Palmer does not currently have an offer from South Carolina, but as a player in the 2018 class, it is still very early in the recruiting process for him and that is subject to change at any time.
