Still considering other options
Three-star linebacker Ahdarrious Gee remains committed to South Carolina but is still considering other options.
Georgia Tech hosted the 6-foot-1, 190-pound linebacker from Crisp County High School (Cordele, Ga.) for a visit this past weekend.
Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Mississippi State, North Carolina State and Vanderbilt have also offered him a scholarship.
“I have a couple more [visits] I’m planning to schedule,” Gee said.
Good return to South Carolina
Earlier this year, South Carolina hosted 5-star defensive end Zacch Pickens for junior day.
“The visit was more about education,” Pickens told Phil Kornblut of SportsTalkSC. “I’m real big on education and so is my mom. With Coach Muschamp we just sat there and we didn’t talk football; we talked about life after football is over.”
The 6-3, 244-pound prospect from T.L. Hanna High School (Anderson, S.C.) is listed by the 247Sports composite as the top overall player from the state’s 2019 class.
“They were saying that they want to build around me because I’ll be a big part of it if I go there,” he said of the Gamecocks. “They said I’d be playing my same position. They are all good feelings for them because they are a really good football team and a really good program.”
Pickens will return to South Carolina and Clemson later this spring to watch the two teams practice. Up next is a trip to Tennessee on Saturday. Georgia also had him in for a junior day this year.

Four-star athlete J.R. Walker is set to visit South Carolina on March 3, but his teammate, 4-star linebacker Traveon Freshwater, has yet to confirm whether he’ll be there, too.
Walker (6-1, 205) is ranked as the No. 23 athlete in the Class of 2019. South Carolina offered him as a safety, but he also plays running back for Northeastern High School in Elizabethtown, N.C.
