Muschamp offers Florida cornerback after Monday’s camp

Following Monday’s performance at the Will Muschamp Football Camp, Damarri Mathis picked up his first SEC offer.
Muschamp personally delivered the news at the conclusion of Monday’s session.
“They like my athletic ability a lot,” Mathis said, “(My) character and my film.”
Mathis, a three-star from Lakeland, Fla., arrived to South Carolina with offers from UCF, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina and Southern Miss, among others.
When asked what he likes about the Gamecocks, Mathis said, “The level of competition they play (against), the coaching staff and the location.”
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound prospect is ranked as the No. 147 cornerback in the class of 2017, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
