This is well said. There is a LOT I like about Boom and TRob...almost everything...including that their kids love them...but...last two games are not positive signs along some rebuilding project. Let Ole Miss rag dol us and things get taken to the next level...we win out and who knows.I'm not a fan of criticizing players and I am glad they are standing up for their coach. There are a lot of things to like about Muschamp. And one of them is that all his players seem to really like playing for him.
However, it's just not translating to performance on the field. It's one thing to get beat, and even have an 'off seasons' during a pandemic when you are only playing SEC games. But to just go out barely show a pulse for 2 games is just unacceptable. Not sure what happened between the Auburn and LSU games, but it's like a whole different team.
If a good coach does his job and pushes his players to the next level so they can compete and win, he won't be liked by all of his players.I'm not a fan of criticizing players and I am glad they are standing up for their coach. Yep, night and day differences. If a good coach does his job and pushes his players to the next level so they can compete and win, he won't be liked by all of his players.
#1 Clemson got upset by #4 Notre Dame last weekend. They have a bye this week and their players will respond to the defeat by hanging 70 points on FSU in two weeks.
In contrast, our players will simply blame the fans instead of themselves for losing to a ranked opponent and then get curb-stomped by Ole Miss this Saturday.
That's the paradox of players liking their coach.
This is nonsense...one...Clemson lost in double overtime to a ranked and undefeated...second ranked team in the country...ND because the best college QB in a decade and future first pick in the NFL draft didn't play...that game and our game have less than zero to due with each other. If a good coach does his job and pushes his players to the next level so they can compete and win, he won't be liked by all of his players.

You literally just backed what he was saying. I'll try putting it a different way than he did. We have a coach that is liked by the players and we lose. Taters have a coach that is liked by the players and they also win. Taters are obviously doing something right with their players and we aren't.This is nonsense...one...Clemson lost in double overtime to a ranked and undefeated...second ranked team in the country...ND because the best college QB in a decade and future first pick in the NFL draft didn't play...that game and our game have less than zero to due with each other.
NEWSFLASH!! Clemson players like playing for their coaches too! There is no paradox of players liking their coach here.
BTW...Could you link where any kid has blamed the fans for losing to a ranked opponent?
No I didn't...none of this has anything to do with the post I responded toYou literally just backed what he was saying. I'll try putting it a different way than he did. Well said Ace! It sounds like he takes care of them regarding everything else but football.Obviously, the players do not care enough about the coaching staff to play hard enough to win.
Muschamp has never learned the rule of great coaches: You play to win - instead of playing not to lose.
