FWIW....may just be wishful talk, but I don't see anything in this comment that looks out of place:Fingers still crossed for Napier!
Billy is interested and it won’t take $5 million to get it done. Those reports are fake news, that’s the main reason I posted my update.
TOGA ... TOGA ... TOGAIt isn't over till its over. I mean, was it over when the Germans bombed Peral Harbor?
Allegedly....because Ray hosed this the last time around, multiple hands are in the selection, which may be the source of some of the disinformation.IF the interviews are continuing...

I hear what you're saying. Here's the way I rationalize that: Program succeeds --> some assistants move on to bigger jobs ---> because program succeeds, new space opens for young, up-and-coming coach who brings new energyThe only thing that scares me about Mason would be he would be a candidate for HC quickly. Coaching cohesion and unity makes such an impression on a program, like ours where we cant lose top coaches and just bring in a guy, like Bama does.
I'm with you in hoping that if good coaches get poached or leave to advance themselves, they can be replaced with equally talented coaches because we are running a quality program. I just hope its not after one year, because now guys have to learn new stuff from the new coach.I hear what you're saying. College coaching is a mercenary profession. The days of coaches staying for their careers are just long gone. If success occurs, all you can do is know that when a vacancy happens, the success that enabled that coach to move on is a lure to bring another in, whether it's a HC or a coordinator.
yes, that replacement process is CRUCIAL. I think SOS lost steam because of that.I'm with you in hoping that if good coaches get poached or leave to advance themselves, they can be replaced with equally talented coaches because we are running a quality program. agreed a coach moving on to a higher position is a great sign for your program. It also makes hiring the next assistant easier because everyone wants to go somewhere that they can hep them achieve their dreams. The idea of avoiding coaching staff turnover is regressive and antiquated, at best.I hear what you're saying.
