Let me just tell you why most of the fans of SEC schools feel, act, and talk the way we do. Wins like clemson, and Louisville had this past bowl season cause fans to raise up and scoff at the "mighty SEC". But let me tell you what we all know. One win is great, but what if you had to go on the road the next week to College Station? What if you played Georgia the week before? Think your result would be the same? While you get geared up to proove yourself when one of these games comes around the 14 teams in the league live it week in and week out.
Sometimes with 100,000 fans screaming at the top of their lungs everytime you break the huddle. We hate each other while we're trading helmet paint but the thought of a team from a lesser conference getting a win so they can proclaim they are catching up, or heaven forbid we are becoming as average as some other conference makes us sick to our stomachs. Although it is prooved time and time again it always seems to come down to a game like the CFA Bowl. Forget about the sweep the Saturday after Thanksgiving. And speaking of the CFA Bowl could you imagine a conference agreeing to send their #5 or #6 to play our #2 or#3.
That would be worse than last years Orange Bowl. So what I'm saying is you have no idea what the grind of a 8 game SEC schedule is like and you have not arrived on the basis of one game in Atlanta. And by the way I unfortunately had to live on tobacco road during the 80's and heard your conference brag just as much chant ACC ACC ACC just as loud and poke their chest out just as far during basketball season over much much less success
