Oklahoma commitment tweets visit news on Jameyst Williams
Nov. 30, 2016
On Wednesday morning, Oklahoma cornerback commitment Justin Broiles tweeted that South Carolina cornerback commitment Jamyest Williams was going to be on the road this weekend taking an official visit.
Word of an official visit to Oklahoma should come without surprise. In the moments after Williams’ commitment to the Gamecocks, his father told Dawg Nation reporter Jeff Sentell that he would take all five official visits.
“We don’t believe in committing and de-committing,” J.J. Williams said. “Those are just values we have within ourselves. He’s still going to take his visits, let’s make that be known. He’s still going to take his five visits, but he is 100 percent (committed).”
Williams took multiple unofficial visits to South Carolina this fall, including earlier this month for the Tennessee game.
“This is just the beginning of great things to come,” he said, after the Gamecocks win. “Many don’t know that Jake (Bentley) is supposed to be in my class but came early. He’s one of the main reasons for this turnaround, but there is plenty of more work to do. Great all-around team effort to get the W.”
