4 star OL Na’Ty Rodgers (6-5 275) of Pomfret, MD was at USC Saturday for the spring game with his mother and stepdad and could not have been more impressed. ‘It’s the first SEC school I’ve seen,” said Rodgers. “It’s a real big school. I’ve never seen a town behind a school like that. I had a great time all around.” Rodgers met Marcus Lattimore and Jadeveon Clowney and talked with recruiter GA Mangus and line coach Shawn Elliott. He also met Steve Spurrier. “Coach Elliott was coaching his guys up and showing them what to do,” he said. “It was a good way to see how they coach.” Rodgers also has been to Washington, West Virginia, North Carolina, Southern Cal, Colorado and Maryland. He will visit Pittsburgh this weekend while there for a seven on seven tournaments. And he will return to Washington where his father, Tyrone Rodgers, played football before moving on to the NFL. He does not have a favorite but noted that Washington has been recruiting him for a long time. “South Carolina was a great experience,” he said. “They will make my top list. South Carolina will be one of my official visits.” Rodgers said his top five will be his official visits and he will announce on signing day which will be the day before his birthday next February.
