OL Na'Ty Rodgers might return to USC this weekend

11/06/12

4 star OL Na'Ty Rodgers 6'5" 280lbs of Pomfret, MD was at USC for the Georgia game and is considering a return trip for this weekend's game with Arkansas. "I might come down if my dad wants to visit," Rodgers said. "I want my real dad to see South Carolina." Rodgers' father is former NFL defensive lineman Tyrone Rodgers and he lives in California. He is coming to Maryland this week. Gamecock recruiter GA Mangus was by Rodgers' school Thursday. Rogers last game visit was to Maryland for the NC State game. He still has USC as his favorite ahead of Maryland. He has taken an official visit to Oklahoma and plans to set up visits with USC, Maryland and maybe Michigan. He won't make a decision until after the season but before the all star games.

Rodgers sets two more official visits

11/15/12

OL Na'Ty Rodgers 6'5" 280lbs of Pomfret, MD made an unofficial visit to USC this past Saturday with his father and older brother. It was his third unofficial visit to USC this season, and now his mother, stepdad and father have had a close up look. "It was good for him to be able to take a look around," Rodgers said. "It was the first time for him and my brother, and they really liked it." Rodgers said he talked with Steve Spurrier, Shawn Elliott and GA Mangus while on the visit. Rodgers has taken an official visit to Oklahoma and is set to visit Nebraska this weekend. He will visit Maryland December 8th, and his USC visit will be his last one in late December or January. USC is still the leader. "It's about the same," he said. "Nothing's really changed that much."

USC has company at top with Rodgers

11/21/12

USC has been the favorite of 4 star OL Na'Ty Rodgers 6'5" 280lbs of Pomfret, MD for the past few months. The Gamecocks are no longer alone. Rodgers said Tuesday night he now has co-leaders in USC and Maryland. Rodgers was supposed to go on an official visit to Nebraska last weekend but that got postponed, so he went unofficially to Maryland. "I never really saw the campus and this weekend I took an in depth look, and I liked what I saw," Rodgers said. "I liked the campus life and how everything is set up there. And I would be close to home." Rodgers also sees the move of Maryland to the Big 10 as a positive for them. "It's a good move for them for recruiting purposes and it should be a good thing," he said. "Everybody always talks about the SEC, but to make a big step forward like that is good to see." Rodgers planned to talk to USC recruiter GA Mangus Tuesday night. He has taken an official visit to Oklahoma and plans to set other visits with USC, Maryland, Nebraska and maybe Michigan. He is not visiting anywhere this weekend.

USC remains the leader for OL Na'Ty Rodgers

12/13/12

4 star OL 6'5" 280lbs Na'Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD is just a few weeks away from announcing his college choice and USC remains his favorite ahead of Maryland. "The lead is about the same," Rodgers said. That lead will be tested this weekend, however,

when Rodgers makes his official visit to Maryland with his mother and step father. He visited Washington, his father's alma mater, last weekend by himself. He also has been to Oklahoma and Nebraska and will visit USC January 18th. Gamecock coach Steve Spurrier made his in home visit with Rodgers earlier in the week.

"It was pretty cool," Rodgers said. "It was my first time sitting down and meet with coach Spurrier and talking to him. They want me to come in and get plugged in anywhere." Spurrier has been the only head coach to visit Rodgers to this point and he's not sure when any of the others are coming in. Rodgers will announce his decision at the Under Armour Game in early January.

Rodgers says USC still #1 with him

01/08/13

4 star OL Na’Ty Rodgers  OL 6'5" 280lbsof Pomfret, MD did not make his decision as expected at the Under Armour Game but that has not affected USC’s position with him. The Gamecocks have been his favorite and remains so. “The visits I took there showed me a lot down there,” Rodgers said. “I’ll talk it over with my family and pray about it and see what happens.” Rodgers has USC and Maryland as his top two. Florida State has also come onto the scene. He met with FSU offensive line coach Rick Trickett after the Under Armour Game and agreed to visit Tallahassee this weekend. He also met with USC recruiters GA Mangus and Shawn Elliott. He will visit USC January 18th. He will take about a week after that before making his final decision. Rodgers said the reason he didn’t announce Friday night was because ESPN, at first, limited him to just two family members on stage, and he wanted more. They later relented but by then he had decided just to wait and announce back home. link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20130107/PSPORTS02/130109785/-1/psports
