4 star OL Na'Ty Rodgers 6'5" 280lbs of Pomfret, MD has a top five of USC, Maryland, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Washington with USC out front. "I don't really have any particular order with these schools but I know South Carolina is number one," Rodgers said. "I like the coaching staff and the campus. It's a football town. We don't really have that here in Maryland. Everyone here wants to play somewhere like (USC)." Rodgers plans to take two unofficial visits to Columbia prior to his official visit. "I want to go to a really big game and one of their rival games," he said. "I hear it gets pretty crazy there." His last trip to USC was for the spring game. Rodgers has not set up any of his official visits but did say, "I'll probably go to a couple of schools I haven't seen yet like Oklahoma and Arkansas to get a feel for them. Once I've done that, I may go ahead and commit to South Carolina."

Rodgers will visit USC this Saturday

4 star OL Na'Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD will make an unofficial visit to USC Saturday for the UAB game. His mother, stepfather, and teammate DE Robbie Owens will join him. Rodgers visited USC back in April, and he will return for his official visit October 6th. Right now the Gamecocks are the clear favorite. "I can't explain it," Rodgers said. "I'm taking these visits to reassure that's where I want to go." Rodgers said even he makes up his mind for USC on one of the visits, he won't announce a commitment until the Semper-Fidelis Bowl Game in Carson, CA January 4th. Rodgers also has scheduled an official visit to Oklahoma for September 22nd. He's also looking at Washington and Arkansas for official visits, and Maryland is also in the picture. But everyone is playing catchup to USC. And Rodgers has been watching closely how the Gamecocks are playing. "They are looking pretty good" he said. "They've got a couple of problems but everybody does this time of the year." Rodgers said he's talking weekly with either GA Mangus or Shawn Elliott of the USC staff.

Na'Ty Rodgers still feeling USC after first visit

OL Na'Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD made the first of what will be at least three visits to USC over the weekend. Rodgers drove in on Saturday and stayed overnight before returning home Sunday. Rodgers has been favoring the Gamecocks and that has not changed. "I told them (the coaches) they are my number one school but I'm going to wait until the bowl game (Semper-Fidelis on January 4th) to make my decision. It was a real exciting game, a good experience. They have a lot of young talent and in a couple of years those guys will be ready to go." Rodgers spoke Sunday morning with Steve Spurrier but spent most of his time visiting with Shawn Elliott and GA Mangus. He also got a chance to visit the campus. Rodgers will be back for the Georgia game but has changed that to an unofficial visit. He will make his official visit in January. This coming weekend he will take an official visit to Oklahoma. He has not scheduled any other official visits though he's been considering Washington and Arkansas for visits.link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20120916/PSPORTS02/120919744/-1/PSPORTS

09/25/12

4 star OL Na'Ty Rodgers 6'5" 280lbsof Pomfret, MD made an official visit to Oklahoma last weekend, his first official trip. "It's a good place," Rodgers said of Oklahoma. "It's a nice campus with nice facilities. A lot of their linemen are athletic." Rodgers said he sat down with Sooners' coach Bob Stoops on Saturday. USC was Rodgers' favorite prior to that visit and he says that's still the case. "I'm not thinking about it a lot," he said. "I'm going to let the buzz where off and wait a couple of weeks. South Carolina still leads. Oklahoma is second." Rodgers made an unofficial visit to USC earlier this month and will return for the Georgia game. He has no other visits planned. link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20120924/PSPORTS02/120929819/-1/PSPORTS

Rodgers ready for another trip to USC

OL Na'Ty Rodgers of Pomfret, MD is wearing out I-95 between his home and Columbia. He will make his third unofficial visit with USC since April Saturday when he and his mother and step-father drive in for the Georgia game. Rodgers attended the spring game and the UAB game, and now he wants to see an SEC game. "I want to see the game atmosphere with an SEC opponent," Rodgers said. "I've never been to an SEC game before." Rodgers said besides seeing his first SEC game in person, the visit will give him another chance to strengthen his relationship with USC. "The relationship with people is one of the keys (to his decision), and you might see something you didn't see the first time." Rodgers has taken an official visit to Oklahoma and has no other visits planned. He said Gamecock assistants GA Mangus and Shawn Elliott are expected to scout him in his last game of the regular season. Rodgers said USC is still his leader ahead of Maryland and Oklahoma. However, he has no plans to commit this weekend and said he will stick with is plan to wait on making a final decision.link: http://www.goupstate.com/article/20121003/PSPORTS02/121009866/-1/psports
