Opening bound OL Jovaughn Gwyn visits South Carolina

Another haul of linemen are visiting South Carolina on Saturday for the OL/DL Camp. Jovaughn Gwyn, who’s headed to The Opening, is one of the headliners.
The 3-star from Harding University High School in Charlotte, N.C. is ranked by the 247Sports composite as the No. 26 offensive guard in the Class of 2018. Gwyn (6-3, 290) didn’t participate in the camp.
Coach Will Muschamp greeted him shortly after arriving to Stone Stadium on Saturday morning. South Carolina is jockeying with a handful of ACC schools, including Duke, North Carolina State and Wake Forest.
Four-star offensive tackle Michael Tarquin made his much-anticipated appearance in Columbia, though he was not among the prospects going through the paces at camp. Tarquin (6-5, 290) lists a host of SEC offers, to go along with Florida State, Louisville, Miami and Ohio State.
The No. 106 overall prospect in the Class of 2019 is from Belleview (Fla.) High School.
Four-star defensive end Savion Jackson joined several of his teammates from Clayton (N.C.) High School for camp while the school’s skill players participated in the 7-on-7 tournament.
Jackson (6-2, 245) is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 15 overall prospect in the Class of 2019. Along with South Carolina and Penn State, he lists several ACC offers.
Four-star defensive tackle Jordan Davis was not one of the 13 linemen from Mallard Creek High School (Charlotte) who worked out during the camp.
