Phillip Dukes

Does anyone have any information on why Phillip Dukes hasn't developed into a beast DT, like Kelcy Quarles. Out of high school Quarles and Dukes were both rated has Top 10 DT in the nation, but Dukes hasn't made any nosie at the position. Is it he's not putting in the work, he's having a hard time understanding the defensive schemes, or something else...thoughts

He has the size, and if we can get him to play at the level that Kelcy plays, we will have the best D-Line in college football for 2013. GO GAMECOCKS

They are one year apart, but Kelcey was a beast last year. If Dukes plays as well this year as Kelcey did last year we would be sitting pretty with Dixon and Surratt as Back-ups. Clowney and Sutton on the outside with the other Dixon and English backing them up. The new recruit Griffin may even be able to see some playing time on the inside.

I'm just thinking Dukes could be the piece that sets this line apart from all others if we can get the same type of production out of him as we do Kelcey; a similiar rated player.
