Well, it's finally happened in Knoxville the man is gone Tennessee is suppose to have an release today in an hour or so. The big time booster's just could not tolerate  the man any more. They are suppose to release details today.   

 
Not the boosters - it’s the investigation into recruiting improprieties that UT did on its own that in the end gave them the rope to let him go.

mostly the investigation, but I am hearing some big time people wanted him gone, because this is going to be an scandal .

I'm sure the writing was on the wall, no doubt.

"In a notice of intent to terminate letter sent to Pruitt by Tennessee officials on Monday, the university has concluded that "the conduct by at least two assistant coaches and several recruiting staff members are likely to lead to an NCAA finding of Level I and/or Level II violations of one or more Governing Athletic Rules. The University also has concluded that these likely findings were the result of either your material neglect or lack of reasonable preventive compliance measures."

Interesting. In the age of the Transfer Portal, Players will be jumping ship once serious cases of sanctions come up. Could be close to the death penalty for some programs, which is not used anymore.

Cade Mays was part of it but one of the other players was Armarius Mims who ended up at UGA...when you offer someone money to come to your school you had better hope you get that recruit...honestly I can't believe this does not happen more often in terms of a player ratting on other programs

I don't know if he was the player that was with Eric Gray when he was given the coaches credit card, but that also happened...I am not so sure that Eric Gray will be able to play again if what has been alleged actually occurred

I hope they cannot find an coach and get shutdown  Fulmer had to know this was happening .

I agree 100%....in fact I would bet that this type of behavior led to the success that Fulmer enjoyed while being head coach

He was given the option to resign as opposed to fired

 
Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.  Will they actually get punished or slap on the wrist?  Time will tell.
