3 star QB Riley Ferguson (6-3 190) of Matthews, NC has offers that include USC, Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Louisville and Maryland. He is also hearing from Clemson. Ferguson is close to naming a top five, as early as next week he says, and he has some reservations about the Gamecocks. "Coach (Shawn) Elliott came by and watched me throw during spring practice," Ferguson said. "He told me to keep working and they want to get me back down there for a visit." The commitment of QB Connor Mitch to USC has him unsure USC will make his list. "I don't know if I want to go there if they're already bringing in a good quarterback," he admiitted adding, "(Mitch) is a good quarterback." Ferguson has visited Clemson several times and is high on the Tigers but does not believe Clemson plans to offer a quarterback in this class. "I talk to (Danny) Pearman and he tells me that they may not take a QB in this class," said Ferguson. "He says you never know what could happen and that their needs could change.
