USC quarterbacks coach GA Mangus has offered just one quarterback for the 2014 class thus far but is still evaluating others. One of those is Lexington's Will Hunter (6-1 185). "South Carolina has scouted him and they really like him," Lexington coach Scott Earley said. "All the coaches there like him. He fits that system." Hunter has posted impressive numbers thru two and a half seasons as a starter. The most impressive? He's 23-6 as a starter. Hunter passed for 5517 yards and 54 touchdowns in his first two seasons. So far this season he's thrown for 1320 yards and 10 touchdowns despite having off season labrum surgery. "His arm strength is not all the way back," Earley said. "He's one of the toughest quarterbacks I've ever seen. He's as good as Everett (Golson, Notre Dame QB whom Earley coached at Myrtle Beach) or better. He's like having another coaching on the field." Hunter has not taken any visits for games this season, Earley said, because every Saturday he's watching film with the coaches. Earley said he expects Hunter to visit USC, North Carolina, East Carolina, LSU and Alabama.
