South Carolina's hot streak on the recruiting trail continued Monday evening when 3 star class of 2015 defensive end [COLOR= rgb(178, 34, 34)]Quandeski Whitlow[/COLOR] 6-foot-4, 228-pounder (Opelika, Ala./Opelika) gave his pledge to the Gamecocks.
Whitlow's recruitment played out quickly, at least regarding the Gamecocks. After visiting the school over the weekend and picking up an offer, he named a top four of South Carolina, Kentucky, Miami and Mississippi State before pledging to the Gamecocks.
Whitlow, who was recruited to South Carolina by linebackers coach Kirk Botkin, who is his recruiter of record, and defensive line coach Deke Adams.
Whitlow also held offers from Cincinnati, Louisville, Minnesota, Nebraska, Virginia Tech, Arkansas State, South Alabama, Southern Miss and UAB.
Whitlow is the Gamecocks' fourth commitment in the last five days after adding four-star offensive tackle Austin Clark and three-star linebacker Jalen Henry last Thursday and four-star safety Antoine Wilder on Friday.
