Recruiting Notes For 1.9.17: USC reaches out to long snapper; Ohio LB excited for USC offer; Joyner sets a USC visit
Long snapper Ben Reeder of JL Mann was offered a preferred walk-on spot at USC. He’s not yet made a decision on that and is still talking with Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia about possible scholarship opportunities.
USC recently offered 2018 LB Darrin Gant of Toledo. He also has offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame, Penn State, Michigan State, Tennessee, Pitt, UCLA, Duke, Kentucky and others. Gant was happy about the Gamecock offer. “Very excited. I don’t know much about them but excited to see what they have down there. They just said they liked my tape and think I would fit in well.” Gant has not set up any junior day visits at this point.
2018 QB Dakereon Joyner of Fort Dorchester tweeted he will visit Virginia Tech this coming weekend as previously set, and he will visit USC the next weekend, a visit that had not previously been set.
