Recruiting Notes For June 26: Two big decisions coming; Sunday commitments; USC on Smoke’s list; Another SEC offer for Burns
Two more big commitments are scheduled for this week, one each impacting Clemson and USC. Tuesday RB Zamir White of Laurinburg, NC is set to announce for Clemson, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio State or Alabama. White has said nothing publicly about his recruiting for weeks. Clemson made him its top running back target but popular consensus is the Tigers have faded and it’s Georgia trying to hold off North Carolina in this one.
Sunday DE Stephon Wynn Jr. of Anderson and IMG Academy in Florida will announce his decision which appears to be down to USC, Georgia and Alabama. Wynn has said nothing regarding a favorite and there’s no consensus on what he will do. He has visited USC twice in the last three months and Will Muschamp has made a concerted effort to land the Clemson legacy.
RB Tae Provens of Gurley, AL committed to LSU. USC was in his final five.
TE Zach Sheffer of Ponte Vedra, FL committed to LSU. He had a USC offer.
OL Christian Armstrong of Warner Robins, GA committed to Florida State. He had a USC offer.
ATH Kavoisey Smoke of Wetumpka, AL has USC on his short list. Also in his top ten are Florida, North Carolina, Mississippi State, Illinois, Central Florida, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, Florida Atlantic and Kentucky.
