Recruiting Notes: Thomas sets USC visit; More offers handed out by Gamecocks

DE Xavier Thomas of IMG Academy in Florida said he will not be at USC’s junior day Saturday but will visit next Thursday with teammates from IMG. That will be part of a multi-campus visit for the IMG prospects with a stop at Clemson also likely.
USC recently offered DB Joseph Wilkins (6-2 175) of North Fort Myers, FL. “I’m very excited about the offer. I think I will be going up there this summer to a camp and I’ll be able to talk to the coaching staff and maybe see the school a little bit. I talked to Coach T-Rob and Coach Muschamp and they both say they like me at defensive back.” Wilkins also has offers from Maryland, Iowa State, Arizona, Southern Miss, USF and others. Wilkins said USC, Maryland, Iowa State and Arizona stand out the most to him right now. He will take visits this summer.
USC this week offered 2019 DE Savion Jackson (6-3 245) of Clayton, NC. “I was happy and overjoyed, I think South Carolina has a good program and is a beautiful place. Coach Thompson said that he loved how hard I played and I play relentless and with a motor.” Jackson plans to visit USC Saturday. He has been to NC State twice.
