TIFWIW: A poster on one of the other boards who is normally pretty reserved about tossing this kind of stuff out there says Satt has been relieved of his OC duties and is most likely looking for a job back in the pros. Take this with the hugest grain of salt, especially after my "Venables on the ground in Norman" post from yesterday, lol

Yeah been hearing that as well.  Satt. on the recruiting trail is just him saving face to he finds a job, seems the BOT does not want to buy out the 900.000 to tell him to hit the road.

Just hope fans that are expecting big splash on hiring a new OC understand that is not going to happen along with a few other offensive changes coming. Be no big names......

Hire someone like Clayton White.....solid coordinator hidden on a staff at a smaller school.

I still think he's all but gone. It might not happen as quickly as some folks may want, but it's coming. I imagine all of the hiring and firing is on hold until Satt finds a new home if for no other reason that to avoid his buyout.

Kimrey?  When was the last time a SEC school hired a HS coach as their OC?

You said it.. Totally agree....

Malzahn at Arkansas comes to my mind immediately...now that being said he also entered with Mitch Mustain and Damian Williams so it was most likely a package deal

12 games removed HS coach.  Big leap to OC in the SEC.  Could be good, who knows.
True. Some people step up and bloom, others wither in the heat of the spotlight. Kimrey strikes me a a guy who doesn't blink when given his shot (hello, Fade).

Guys, say what you want about DABO  , but I have listened to him speak several times on ESPN 30 , he has taken an program brought  it to the top, and I hate Clemson and their fans but if you want to build an program he's done it his way.   I have an little respect for the guy I still don't like him much but  how many championships have we won  uh let me see I can't   count them in football.

I think Beamer is following along those same guidelines and just maybe we can be there one day,

I agree.  He should give up doing Coke commercials though lol.  Or they should move the script above the camera so he actually looks in that direction while talking.

Seems that when the rest of CU bought in to Swinney, Swinney was able to convince the athletic dept to invest into recruiting more like Bama and OSU. This included hiring more staff for recruiting.

They also figured out getting top asst coaches was important.
