6-1 PG Seventh Woods of Hammond is in the final stages of his recruiting process and is down to a final four his coach said Monday. Coach Mark McClam said Woods will announce his four schools on Twitter sometime soon.
“I met with him and his dad last week and we talked at length about the recruiting process,” McClam said. “He’s got options and it’s time to exercise the options and narrow this down and make a decision pretty soon. He’s down to the schools he likes.”
McClam said Woods is in the process of lining up dates for the official visits he wants to take and he will make his decision after those trips.
This summer Woods stated he primarily was looking at USC, North Carolina, Florida, Kansas and Georgetown.
Woods recently visited USC and met with head coach Frank Martin, the latest in a series of meetings he has had with Martin both on campus and in the home. North Carolina coach Roy Williams also visited Woods in his home in April. Woods has visited USC and UNC unofficially.
