Simpson says schedule has no room for USC visit

OL John Simpson of Fort Dorchester took his second official visit last weekend to Florida. He had previously visited LSU. This weekend he goes to Clemson. And January 29th he is set for Alabama.
Along with those three visits, Simpson has a part-time job and the start of wrestling season on his plate. That, he says, will not leave him an opportunity for an official visit to USC.
“It was a great visit, I really enjoyed my time,” Simpson said of his weekend in Gainesville. I felt comfortable there. Coach Summers, I like his coaching style and the players were telling me that he’s a good coach. I liked everything about it.”
As for USC, Simpson said the Gamecocks are trying to set up a home visit with him. They were trying to get in Monday but his mother was not going to be available and she wants to be in on the meeting.
Clemson, LSU, Florida and USC all plan to get in to see Simpson this week. He said no one has risen to the top of his list at this point and he’s still holding out for a Signing Day announcement.
Simpson said his mother, grandfather and brother will join him on the Clemson visit.
