Some Monday recruiting notes

May 29, 2017

USC made the top five with WR Matthew Hill of Snellville, GA along with LSU, Alabama, Florida and Auburn.

USC offered DL Tramel Walthour (6-4 280) of Hinesville, GA. He also has offers from Georgia, Auburn, Ohio State, Arkansas, Kansas State and others.

USC is showing interest in QB Carter Bradley (6-3 195) of Jacksonville, FL.  “Basically Coach Roper came by this spring to watch me throw after he was very impressed about how I could spin it. We stayed in touch and he said he just had to talk to Coach Muschamp and get his word.  I have a very high interest in South Carolina.  Watching a couple games and seeing how this offense runs,  I feel I could help by creating more explosive plays and playing my style of football.”  Bradley has offers from Pitt, Wisconsin, Rutgers, South Florida, Cincinnati, Marshall and FAU.

DL Raiqwon O’Neal of Conway recently added an offer from Rutgers.  USC continues to contact him and he talked with Lance Thompson earlier in the week.  He wants to see him in camp.  For other visits this summer O’Neal is looking at Louisville, Rutgers, Central Florida, West Virginia, Penn State, Mississippi State, Purdue and Navy.

USC was by Lancaster this week for a second time to check on LB Markees Watts (6-2 210).  He has offers from Middle Tennessee, Charlotte, Charleston Southern, Appalachian State, James Madison, Troy, Mercer, Wofford, Elon, SC State and Gardner-Webb.  Kentucky and Virginia Tech also have been in.  He plans to camp at USC June 3rd. WR Desmond Stowers (6-3 185) of Lancaster has a Navy offer and OL Keavius Barnes (6-3 300) is another Bruin prospect
