North Carolina is the first to offer 3 star junior DE Norman Hand, Jr. (6-3 235) of Colleton County and he is hearing from USC, Clemson, Wake Forest, Georgia, Auburn, and Duke among others.
Hand does not have any favorites but is clear on what is important to him. “I focus on my studies first,” he said. “North Carolina is a good academic school and that’s important to me.”
USC and Clemson have sent Hand correspondence and he is interested in both schools. “USC invited me to a game last year and I liked it,” he said. “They’re both good schools academically. I don’t have any favorites and am interested in any school that is interested in me.”
He does not have any visits scheduled to date but did name one school he would like to see this season. “I really want to get down to Ole Miss,” Hand said. “My mom and dad both went to school there and I would like to check them out.”
Hand’s father was a standout at Ole Miss and later played in the NFL.
He did not indicate a time frame for a decision.
