South Carolina accepted a commitment from walk-on placekicker Brady Cormier (Ladys Island/Beaufort) back in August, just days after punter Joseph Charlton committed to a scholarship spot. Cormier has remained firm to the Gamecocks throughout the process but a couple of smaller schools have come in with late offers that have him wondering how to proceed.
Cormier has official visits set up to The Citadel this weekend and Georgia Southern for January 30. He is also scheduled to visit South Carolina officially on January 23, the Gamecocks' big recruiting weekend.
Following his visits, Cormier plans to decide with his family whether it's a better path for him to walk on at South Carolina or accept a scholarship offer at another school.
