On Sunday night, 3-star linebacker Ernest Jones included South Carolina when he released a decision date and a list of 4 finalists.
Jones, who’s ranked as the No. 49 outside linebacker in the Class of 2018 by 247Sports, also included Florida, Georgia Tech and Duke.
A commitment will be announced on May 5.

The junior from Ware County High School in Waycross, Ga., has received 2 selections for Duke on the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions.
After a recent visit to Auburn, Jones detailed his leader during an interview with SEC Country.
“I’d say, right now, it’s probably Duke because of the medical program, and that’s what I’m leaning towards right now,” Jones said.
South Carolina hosted Jones (6-foot-2, 205 pounds) earlier this month for the spring game.
