June 09, 2017

Friday, they set sights on another local road grader.

Lugoff-Elgin offensive lineman Wyatt Campbell tweeted he’d been offered after attending Friday’s lineman camp in Columbia, his second SEC offer. The 6-foot-7, 280 pounder has offers from Arizona State, Louisville, Virginia, N.C. State, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Missouri.

“It feels great to have the choice to stay home and have all the home support,” Campbell said. “And it really just gives me an option to stay at home and play at the highest level.

He said Has narrowed down favorites but hadn’t released it.

Campbell also attended LSU’s lineman camp last weekend, and will be going to a Virginia Tech camp Saturday and Clemson on June 14.

Campbell blocked for 1,000-yard rusher Rahmel Burton in 2016 and helped lead the Demons to their first playoff trip since 2010. He is the 26th ranked prospect in state by Rivals and has yet to be ranked by 247Sport
