Spurrier finishes in home with Fields

South Carolina head coach Steve Spurrier, defensive coordinator Lorenzo Ward and secondary coach Grady Brown conducted an in home visit with Charlotte (N.C.) Hough four-star cornerback and Gamecock commitment Mark Fields on Thursday night. A source familiar with the meeting said things went "great" and that the Gamecock staff feels good about maintaining his commitment based on tonight's meeting. It's unclear whether Fields will take other visits, although he has mentioned possibly taking trips to Clemson and/or Texas. Fields will make his trip to Columbia the weekend of January 23.
