All off season the team has practiced the "zone read" because that's what we run under Shaw. Shaw's strong showing last year made him the unquestionable starter this year. HOWEVER, Shaw is hurt and has been looking really bad for the most part and DT has stepped in and made a strong showing against lesser competition.
Also mudding the waters is the fact that Dylan offers Spurrier the chance to actually run the offense that he is the most familiar with. This is a very odd situation and one that's gonna be difficult for Spurrier to figure out because they are both so. different in their styles of play meaning a TOTAL OVERHAUL on our offensive philosophy.
