Stephon Wynn Jr., Dylan Wonnum visiting on Saturday

June 03, 2017

Four-star defensive end Stephon Wynn Jr. (Anderson, S.C.) and 4-star offensive tackle Dylan Wonnum (Tucker, Ga.) are among the headliners, though neither of the two 2018 prospects are participating in on-field drills.

Wynn arrived to the indoor practice facility with player personnel director Shaq Wilson, who’s been close by through the morning and early afternoon. Wynn’s family is visiting with him.

South Carolina’s coaches are working out junior college defensive tackle Jabari Ellis (Georgia Military College). Fellow JUCO target Damien Lewis isn’t going through camp drills, but he’s certainly among the priority visitors.

Apparently, the Northwest Mississippi Community College sophomore is planning to visit Ole Miss, Utah and West Virginia. Lewis (6-3, 320) profiles as an offensive guard.

One camp observer had an interest comment about Lewis.

“He eats weights.”

Offensive line coach Eric Wolford was a busy man, spending a considerable amount of time chatting up both Wonnum and Lewis.

2018 safety R.J. Roderick got plenty of attention from coach Will Muschamp on Saturday morning.

Co-defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Travaris Robinson has been close to safety R.J. Roderick (Summerville, S.C.) throughout the day.

Roderick, who missed spring practice at Cane Bay High School with a back injury, participated in on-field work during the morning. Muschamp followed Roderick around the indoor facility as he went through circuit speed drills.

Roderick’s family toured the school in the morning, during the morning portion of the camp.
