Dequanteous Watts
3 star CB Dequanteous Watts 6'2" 171lbs of Atlanta took an unofficial visit to USC Saturday as a commitment to UCF.  He stayed overnight and met with Will Muschamp, Travaris Robinson and Brian McClendon before heading home.  Those coaches must have given him something strong to think about because Watts decommitted from USC Sunday afternoon and now considers USC his favorite.

“South Carolina would be the favorite right now,” Watts said. “I haven’t visited any other schools. It possibly could change when I go visit other schools but as of now they are the favorite.”

Watts added the idea of playing in the SEC is highly intriguing to him.

“That’s as high as it goes in college football,  the SEC, so there will be a lot of competition,” he said. “Just got to work hard.”

Watts said he received a follow up text message from Robinson on Sunday afternoon.  He hopes to return to USC for the Akron game but he’s scheduled to take the SAT that morning.  He also plans to take an official visit with the Gamecocks but no date has been set.

Watts also is hearing from North Carolina, USF, West Virginia and UCF.  He plans to visit North Carolina unofficially this Saturday.  He’d like to make his decision the end of this month or in early December.

This season Watts had 32 tackles with 6 interceptions and 14 pass deflections.  He returned two interceptions and 2 kickoffs for touchdowns
