Who would Gamecock fans most want to see? It’s kind of hard to think of bigger names than Alabama, LSU, UGA, Florida, etc. It just really doesn’t get bigger than the SEC so no other matchups really grab me.
Obviously, the USC/USC (i.e., SoCal) game has been thrown around by Gamecock fans for a long time. I think we can do better than that now though since they aren’t what they were a few years ago.
We seem to play Big 10 teams with regularity in bowl games, so I wouldn’t go there. We’ve done the Ohio State thing. Played Nebraska. We play Michigan this year. Perhaps only PSU would be a fun game from the Big 10. Only FSU from the ACC would be remotely interesting, but certainly not exciting.
Notre Dame? Even before their resurgence this year, they’ll always be a big draw and guarantee a national audience.
Texas, OU, Oregon, Stanford?
