Tennessee Notice of Allegations

While it couldn’t happen to a better bunch. In the age of NIL, why is this even a thing anymore.
I think it's because the money was not used for name, image, or likeness purposes.

For Pruitt and staff, extra benefits went well beyond cash—they paid for hotel rooms, some of them at the Crown Plaza in Knoxville, airline tickets, dozens of meals and more. In one allegation, coaches delivered $500 in university apparel to prospects while under the cover of a parking garage. In another, the staff paid $225 in nail salon treatments for families. During one unofficial visit, coaches took prospects and family members on a fishing trip that included a meal from Knoxville’s famous Calhoun’s restaurant and coaches spending $175 on a meal for a prospect’s family at Dead End BBQ.

It seems like the above violations are outside of the NIL definitions to me, but I don't know.

I thought it was interesting that the current coach, Heupel, had language in his contract that if anything happened from NCAA investigation into Pruitt's teams, Heupel would get automatic contract extensions (e.g. if TN loses scholarships or has bowl bans, than Heupel's 6 year contract automatically gets extended to a 7th year).

So, I think they knew this was coming.

Apparently there are new allegations coming out against the Vols: they are ignorant, ugly, and smell bad as well.
