Oklahoma State just completely humiliated us. That was about the sorriest effort I have ever seen by a Gamecock basketball team. We need to sit Tyrone Johnson down and leave him on the end of the bench and replace him next season. Boy was I wrong about him. He ain't no playmaker, he can't shoot, he can't make a layup, he can't make decisions, and he can't take care of the basketball. Dump him. And Ellington needs to go back to the football team. Martin better get his house on the market if he can't get these guys to play any better than that. Awful, just awful. He better not be whining when nobody shows up for the next game. Nobody wants to see a team play like that.

Yeah it was, Gamecocks playing like there was a lead on the basket . Poor shooting...........

The stunning and baffling thing about that game is the minutes to Ellington and that Johnson wasn't ducktaped to the bench. Jaylen Shaw is a much better option than Ellington or Johnson even at his tender young age and Brenton Williams was hardly off the bench all night. Oh well, not like we needed the points, right? After all, we were within 30 points of them. Why put in two of your best scorers when you're behind?

How can a team meet and practice so much and then show up and play so lackadaisically? All that practice sure didn't seem to help all that much. We looked like a high school team. It's very discouraging. The guys on tv were raving about how good we will be next year and I was thinking they had to be drunk.

On the other hand, should we really be so surprised that these guys reverted back to high school form? We do have a young inexperienced team with a dearth of leadership. I really had no pretensions for grandiose basketball entering the season. However, it's not looking good for a winning season at this juncture of the season. I will try to be more patient with Martin's program. Many people think we can turn around after one or two recruiting classes but even though we brought in 8 new players, we still have no legitimate center or a muscular tall and long small forward who can handle the ball and score with authority. We still don't have all the pieces in place. It's tough to have to move up the ladder of respectability from the bottom of the pile. We've got the makings of a very fine backcourt and Henry is a bonafied player but other than him we've got no low post game.
