The Beamer White/Loggains/Elliott/Sellers/Stewert Era has begun...

I think clemson came in with a game plan to try and take away Sanders- the RB and the intermediate pass game with pressure, making Sellers, a young QB in an absolute zoo of an environment, playing in a high stress game, have to make decisions under extreme pressure to beat you. He was going to have to make a quick decision to beat you with his legs, throw it up deep, play timing routes- screens, wheel routes if the ball was put in his hands.
This was smart by clemson and we just missed plays and shot ourselves in the foot to break it, dominate it with the Norris fumble, the Sanders fumble on a great call/ play and the Int that Harbor will learn from but the right call and throw. Those put us on our heels a little and we went a little less aggressive to calm down, breath, poke, prod let the defense rest and be special.
In the 2nd half Loggins gave Norris the play calling to put them on thier heels from a run stance, loved the if it works keep calling it comment by the announcer. I believe we could score more points if went to a hurry up but it would cause more mistakes, less rest for the Defense, less confidence...you play to WIN!!
Can't believe clemson threw the ball in that situation, against that Defense 😳... at home but you play to WIN!
Great game and I think it comes down to if the Big 10 gets 4 teams or the SEC gets 4 teams... if TX wins the SEC you have TN as the 2nd team and a log jam of teams with 3 losses to include jawja...
If jawja wins the SEC, TX will have loss to them twice and they and a&m will be the only real teams TX has played but both 🤷 get in with TN being the 3rd and bama, ole miss or the COCKS...

I agree but that also limits his scrambling ability to the roll out side.
Seller's has shown a gifted runner's cutting ability, and he also has enough speed to make the edge, but primary reason to do it is to buy some time for downfield plays to develop or at least buys him time to find another option.

I guess there are a couple of ways to look at remaining in the pocket: 1) it's been working for them the past 6 games 2) it's been working for them until it doesn't -- Sellers has been super human in avoiding and/or muscling out of tackles. I would rather, we didn't tempt fate too often.

It was a 5 step drop pass play called that resulted in the game winning TD run by Sellers...

5 step drops that require multiple reads with an oline that can’t protect is a strange concept. Clemson effectively neutralized the pass rush because their qb was getting the ball out so fast.

I really think Loggains is sucking the DL in on purpose to give LaNorris the edge to take advantage of on the ground.
Sellers is a nightmare in the open field. He's fast and has great vision. I don't remember Cam Newton being this good of a runner.

He needs to just tuck the ball like a runner if his reads aren't there. That would cut down some of his turnovers.
