[COLOR= rgb(68, 68, 68)]With four full months left before Signing Day, the South Carolina football team’s 2018 recruiting class has just a handful of targets remaining.[/COLOR]

The Gamecocks’ haul has 18 members, though that figure doesn’t include the lone holdover from the 2017 class — defensive end Tyreek Johnson — who will arrive in January as a grayshirt.

Below is an update on where things stand for the 2018 class:

Where the South Carolina class ranks

Nationally, South Carolina’s class is ranked by the 247Sports composite as No. 23. Among teams from the SEC, the Gamecocks are eighth.
