Former USC football standout and West Florence athletics director and former football coach Neville Files died Friday at the age of 62. Files had been dealing with a series of health issues in recent years.

On Thursday, former Clemson football and basketball player Bill Few, who coached at several high schools in the state, died at the age of 79. Few played at Clemson in the late 50′s and was a member of the Tigers’ 1958 Orange Bowl team.

He was head football coach at York, Kershaw, Pageland, Hudgens Academy and North Central compiling a career record of 221-689-3 with three state championships. He also served as a Shrine Bowl head coach. ‘

Few is a member of the South Carolina Coaches Hall of Fame.
