I don't know. He was ok at Clemson, but they ran too fast, and wore out their defense. His successors have done much better. Plus, he wasn't able to figure it out at Arkansas.
What I am talking about has nothing to do with Chad. Did not mean to come across like that when I said LOL NO.

Arkansas was not in good shape when he got there. Brett had it in bad shape when he left. SMU is good now with the players he recruited. He also has an in with Texas. He had some great receivers at Clemson and made them look really good.
You could be right. I'm kind of shell shocked right now, and anyone with the recent stench of failure on them, is not someone I want coming to Carolina.

Muschamp is in a dire predicament. Win the next two and he will be the talk of all college football. Lose them and it is over.
I really like Muschamp but he is not head coach material. Ray Tanner knew this but decided to gamble on the longshot. Where Tanner screwed up was by overpaying and guaranteeing the big buy out. He should be held accountable.
Win the next two and life is good for both of them. Talk about a longshot.

The thing is, I really like Muschamp. I like his attitude, and fire. I really wish Tanner would take the handcuffs off him, and let him be Boom! But, I think he could be a good Head Coach with the right assistants, basically like Dabo. Muschamp is a way better X's and O's coach, but maybe he doesn't have the CEO mentality or ability. I really wanted Champ to work out here, but it doesn't seem to be happening.
The funny thing is that if they won the next two, it wouldn't surprise me. One week they are world beaters, and the next week they can't find their way out of the locker room.

My thoughts when they hired Muschamp was his explosive temper was a bit much. This can be a beautiful thing when used correctly. Who muzzled this when he arrived? Tanner might have been the man. Somehow, somewhere there needs to be major changes. The never ending quick slant isn’t gonna cut it.

Now in his fourth season at helm, Will Muschamp sits 26-23 overall and 15-16 in conference play. The natives are getting a bit restless; but our understanding is that Muschamp has the support of the President and Board of Trustees. Sources tell FootballScoop Muschamp is expected to return; albeit with the understanding that the program needs to show signs of advancing.
Muschamp believes in his staff as is; but the powers that be are likely looking for some change in hopes of better results on the field going forward. It wouldn’t be shocking to see some new blood brought in to breathe new life into the staff.

There was talk about a big meeting today with the board and nobody in the know knew the subject matter. Well outcome for now he has the backing but must make changes. Stay tuned. Read between the lines.
