There Should Be No Quarterback Controversy...Yet

Dylan Thompson looked absolutely stellar in his first start at quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks. He looked poised in the pocket, read the field well and was accurate with most of his throws.
However, he isn't and shouldn't be a threat to Connor Shaw's starting position just yet.
Keep in mind, Shaw was one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC during his last three games. He decimated Clemson and Nebraska. His legs are as dangerous as his arm. While he had a bad opener, under the circumstances and because of previous play, he's earned a mulligan for that. (more)
