Thought that was kind of an odd statement to make by Spurrier.

Nothing wrong with Dylan getting some PT and we know he has done fine against Clemson before, but to announce the backup will get some snaps before the game begins (knowing Shaw is #1 constant guy) was unexpected.

Nothing to read into, I'm sure...just thought I'd share.

HBC isn't doing this to make Clemson think about it

He is doing it for exactly the reason he says he is doing it.

Dylan has come off the bench in the first quarter in three games this season. Each time has been after Connor has had two or three possessions. Connor has lead the team to TDs on every single one of those early game drives. 100%!

The only risk he is taking is if Connor has the team rolling and Dylan comes in and loses the momentum. This is exactly what happened in the Vandy game but it didn't cost us in the end.

But Spurrier picks up on trends like this so he is going to try to keep it going.
