South Carolina quarterback commitment Brandon McIlwain of Newtown, Pa., has set his official visit with USC for this weekend. He is familiar with new coach Will Muschamp’s track record and is intrigued by the hire.
“I liked him at Florida, and I'm looking forward to talking to him about the future of the program." McIlwain said. "I liked the type of offense they ran and his energy as a head coach.”
Edwards sets visit
Conway wide receiver Bryan Edwards said Sunday he will take his official visit to South Carolina this weekend. He has taken an official visit to Clemson and he said he would make his decision between those two schools as soon as possible after the USC visit.
He said there is no favorite at this point. USC has been recruiting Edwards as a receiver while Clemson reportedly is recruiting him as a safety. The former Gamecock commitment, when asked about the hiring of Will Muschamp as USC's new head coach, said he doesn't know much about him at this point.
